Have you ever wondered what Jesus was really like as he lived on earth day after day? Have you ever thought how wonderful it would be to follow Him, watching and listening as he interacted with people during His day? Have you ever really connected as you read about His experiences with the women of Israel? They listened to Him, watched Him, interacted with Him and really knew Him. When we really know these women, we can truly know Jesus! Many of them turned their eyes upon Jesus, and it made the difference in their lives.
What better way to spend our time than to re-visit the stories of women who fixed their eyes on Jesus and saw God. As we re-live the stories from the Bible, we pray that God will help us have the same joy and inspiration as the women in Israel who knew Him. We’ll see that Jesus wants a personal relationship with each of us as He did with them. We will see how Jesus’ feelings toward women showed His unfailing, limitless, unending love for them.
As we turn our own eyes upon Jesus, we see, in ever deepening ways, how much Jesus loves each one of us and how much He seeks an intimate, personal relationship with each one of us. He longs to be a constant companion in our lives and sustain us on our journey. May Jesus become so real that we will love other the way He loves us. When that happens, and when others see the love of Jesus working in us, lives are forever changed.
